The Board of Electors to the Unilever Professorship of Molecular Sciences Informatics invite applications for this Professorship from persons whose work falls within the field of molecular informatics, broadly defined, to take up appointment on 1 October 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter. Applications from those working in any of the following fields, or in related areas, will be welcome: applications of and/or method development in cheminformatics, including interactions between small molecules and biological networks; application of machine learning and artificial intelligence to areas such as molecular design and simulation (including applications to statistical mechanics and electronic structure).

Candidates will have an outstanding research record of international stature in molecular informatics, interpreted broadly, and the vision, leadership, experience and enthusiasm to build on current strengths in maintaining and developing a leading research presence. They will hold a PhD or equivalent postgraduate qualification.

Standard professorial duties include teaching and research, examining, supervision and administration. The Professor will be based in Cambridge. A competitive salary will be offered.
