Prof Dr. Eberhard Gross, Tsientang Institute for Advanced Study

Professor Eberhard K. U. Gross is a distinguished German theoretical physicist best known for his pioneering contributions to density functional theory (DFT) and the development of time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT).

Hardy Gross is internationally recognised for the Runge-Gross theorem, a foundational result in TDDFT that has transformed the theoretical study of the electronic, optical, and dynamical properties of molecules and materials.

We are pleased to offer a limited number of one-to-one discussion slots with Prof. Dr. Eberhard Gross (Tsientang Institute for Advanced Study and former Director of the Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics) during his visit to London for the Bragg Lecture and TYC Masterclass on 7-8 October 2026.
