Research summary
His research focuses on the modeling of electronic excitations in materials. He uses quantum-mechanical many-body perturbation theory to study quasiparticles, plasmons, excitons, phonons, magnons and their interactions in condensed matter systems from first principles. Current projects include electron-plasmon interactions in materials for plasmonics applications, diamond-based photovoltaics, spin fluctuation-mediated superconductivity in iron-based materials, defects in graphene and water splitting at solid-liquid interfaces.
